Sophie Oakley

Sophie is the founder of CLAY CLUB. and a ceramicist with over 20 years experience. Her ceramic practice focuses on hand building everyday objects and her broader work centres around building inclusive spaces for creative communities.

Gabrielle Cooper

Gabrielle’s practice is rooted in community engagement and creative development. She delivers ceramics, art, printmaking and photography workshops across schools, charities, and community spaces, working extensively with learners of all ages, including those with learning difficulties and disabilities.

Lucas Buttchewits

Lucas has experience teaching both children and adults and brings a supportive and engaging approach to his classes, encouraging creativity, confidence and a genuine connection the to material. He is a ceramicist and photographer drawing inspiration from both his Brazilian roots and nature.

Alex Smith 

Alex is an artist known for bold and characterful work. He regularly exhibits and teaches at Centre for Better Health, studio 303 and with the collective @triangleceramicsldn.

Jade Gallup

Jade has 25 years experience in ceramics, and uses an array of hand building techniques, press moulding and slip casting to create a range of work including home wares, decorative objects and sculptures.

Lucy Tanner

Lucy is an ceramic artist known for her large scale hand coiled and thrown vessels. Taking inspiration from her travels around the world, her work is a plays with colour, decoration and whimsy.
